Children's tutoring

We feature experienced tutors who support children up to sixth grade in their areas of study. We can provide your child the help and confidence they need to thrive. We specialize in helping young adolescents that are missing foundational skills in math and reading.  These services are also available to homeschooling families and are encouraged if you notice your child is not progressing.

Our one‑of‑a‑kind tiered pricing gives families choices that work, so every child can thrive without financial stress.

Session Details

• All sessions are 1 hour to 1 hour and 20 minutes long

• Tutoring sessions are broken up into 5 parts:

1. Warm‑Up – A fun opening educational game depending on the subject

2. Basic Practice – Core skills such as spelling, grammar, multiplication, addition, etc.

3. Brain Break – A few minutes to relax with coloring or an educational game with the tutor

4. Advanced Practice – Continued skill building tailored to the student’s level

5. Cool Down – A short discussion with the parent to review progress

Tutoring Rates (per hour)

• Pre‑K & Kindergarten – $30.00

• 1st & 2nd Grade – $35.00

• 3rd & 4th Grade – $37.50

• 5th & 6th Grade – $45

Additional Services

• Standardized Test Prep – Adds $10 per session to the hourly rate

Registration

• A one‑time deposit equal to the price of one session is due at registration.

• This deposit pays for your child’s first tutoring session.

Need a teacher outside the classroom?

Our tutoring services are designed to give your child a boost in their homeschool education. With flexible scheduling, we make it easy to strengthen skills, build confidence, and keep learning fun. Tutoring also gives parents a well‑deserved break while ensuring their child has a positive, supportive experience.

Homeschool families that partner with Academics with Alex benefit from a structured approach using the BJU Christian homeschool curriculum (faith not required), supplemented with Carson Dellarosa Spectrum learning materials to reinforce key skills and concepts.

Discounts for Siblings/Family Members

Have students in the same grade and struggling with the same subject? Invest in small group tutoring and receive 15% off the session price. (Limit 3 students per group.)
